Legendary Marketer Review – Real Passive Income System Or a Scam?

Last Updated:

Looking to learn more about Legendary Marketer? The 'passive income' platform has gathered a lot of attention in the recent times. Is it a scam or the real deal? We tackle just that in this review, read on to discover the real truth.

First things first, it's not a scam. There are real people making money with the program, but the income snapshots look a little exaggerated. Sure, it's possible to bank hundreds of thousands of dollars a day, but the results are not typical. More on that shortly.

What Is Legendary Marketer

Also known as Duplicate Dave, Legendary Marketer is a high-ticket business opportunity which provides training and resources to help you succeed as an affiliate marketer. It covers how you can resell the product as a distributor and earn commissions as a result.

They have a wide library of courses which are based around multiple internet marketing topics. It's worth mentioning the training material is decent but it can be very expensive at times with the countless upsells/upgrade offers LM has.

It was founded by David Sharpe (also known as Dave) with an aim to help people make a living online as an internet marketer. They sport a number of courses and you can also attend live events and build a network with like-minded people.

Talking of Dave, he has been pretty successful in the past with IM, and has a solid background. He was also the co-founder of Empower Network. His educational platform claims to get people up to speed with various concepts of online marketing, which can eventually make you some dough.

How It Works?

The system encourages you to promote businesses as a franchise owner because of a higher success rate. It claims most startups fail (which is true to an extent), and encourages you to promote a proven system which is guaranteed to work.

With Duplicate Dave, you will essentially be promoting his funnel (like a franchise) to make money. We would guess by now you'd know how the term 'Duplicate Dave' was coined. You're sort of duplicating his sales funnel to sell the product.

There is some decent training material and helpful resources, but the core focus is around promoting the main product (Legendary Marketer) as an affiliate. More specifically the high ticket membership. This sure can be profitable, but you're sort of 'married' to the product here.

The Products

There's the main product (the core membership) which costs $30 per month. There are also a bunch of upsells which come with respective perks.

  • Legendary Marketer Club ($30 per month) - the basic membership level covers the basics of online marketing. There are a handful topics which you learn. Facebook ads, YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram marketing to name a few. You will also get David's funnel - landing pages, ad copies, banners and email swipes to help with promotions.
  • Traffic Rolodex ($47 per month) - Teaches paid traffic strategies which you can use to drive traffic to your brand-new marketing funnel. This, however should've been a part of the basic membership because traffic is the lifeline of any internet-based business.
  • Invisible influencer ($997 one time) - covers how you can generate traffic from Instagram and Facebook as an influencer to promote LM. This definitely should be advanced training material compared to the basic membership but this is where the pricing starts to get steep. Even if the content is good, there are places you can absorb the same information for cheaper, or sometimes even for free from YouTube videos.
  • There are a handful masterclass upsells which teach very specific strategies. Story telling, law of attraction, leadership, branding to name a few. These vary between $2,500 to $8,000 one-time. This is also where you'd start to attend live in-person events.
  • Legendary Lifestyle  Experience ($30,000 one-time) - You're eligible for one year 1-1 coaching with David Sharpe with this upgrade. You'll also have to travel out of the US to attend this event. This is the final upsell but it's ridiculously expensive. Consider the alternative stuff you could have had with $30k if you were to not purchase this upsell.

If investment capital is not a problem, and you're willing to learn a lot of stuff/attend live events, this may be your true calling. That being said, there are better (inexpensive) options if you know where to look.

The Good

Now, this isn't one of those obvious scams. Legendary Marketer is a fairly decent program and there's a lot to like about it.

  • $30/month training is inexpensive and covers a lot of topics, which can help you get one step closer to success depending on how you use the information (aka implementation).
  • Utilizes the affiliate marketing business model since there are no commission structure levels. Most people struggle with multi-level marketing businesses because it involves direct selling/recruiting. It's also safer since MLMs are more prone to take downs. My Online Business (MOBE) being one of them, was shut down by the FTC in 2018.
  • The income potential is definitely there. It's not hard to find hundreds of real income screenshots for the program. Your success, however depends on your skills as a marketer, and also your commitment.
  • Everything is taught in a step by step manner so you don't miss the essential bits and pieces.
  • Comes with a 30-day ironclad money back guarantee so you have nothing to lose.

The Bad

Like with any other product in existence, LM has potential 'flaws' too.

  • Has some traces of an MLM since it focuses on recruiting. You're taught how to 'bring' other people into the platform instead of teaching how to build an online business from scratch.
  • Has pay to play characteristics. If you use the $30/m membership, you're eligible to receive commissions only to that level. If you want to receive the credit for the higher ticket sales, you need to upgrade to that level first. No legitimate affiliate marketing opportunity should ever require you to purchase a product (worth any amount) to be able to promote it.
  • Expensive upsells all the way from $30/month to $30k one-time. If you're low on budget, this is not for you.
  • Teaches free traffic methods like YouTube, and social media marketing, but the core focus is on paid advertising, mainly Facebook ads. This again requires you to have a decent starting capital. You sure can get results faster but it's often too easy to exhaust your marketing budget if you don't know what you're doing or if you mess up. Not to forget, FB ads can be unforgiving with make money online/business opportunity since they fall under the 'get rich quick' category.

Verdict - Is Legendary Marketer a Scam?

No, Legendary Marketer is NOT a scam. In fact, it's among one of the finest products out there if you can live with the costs. The training material and resources you'd be given are helpful and can help you earn a passive income working online.

Even though it's legitimate, we still can't recommend it to our readers simply because the risk to reward ratio isn't worth in our opinion. You're spending way too much on training and it doesn't even include marketing costs.

There are far cheaper (and better) ways to build a sustainable online business. Making money is simple but not easy. Simply master the fundamentals and put in the work. Information is everywhere, and your success depends on what you do with it (by taking action).
