What Is Wood Profits?

Wood Profits is a 53-page eBook for woodworkers that was launched in 2012 by Jim Morgan. This book is marketed as a game changer that can bring you 6 figures per year working from home.

Wood Profits Sales Pitch

Wood Profits sales page makes some bold income claims

The sales pages make a lot of claims. You can launch your own business even if you’re on a budget, and that you can make more than $100,000 per year. There’s nothing wrong with that, but most legit programs never offer guarantees.

Whether or not you’ll make money (with a legitimate platform) depends on many factors:

  1. The product’s actual quality – will it aid you in making some dough online?
  2. The information you learn from the program
  3. What you do with it, just having the info won’t do the trick; you’ll have to make it work.

With WoodProfits, you will download the book in PDF format. It can help you get started as a woodworker. You’ll be selling furniture and other products made out of wood. It also comes with an audiobook format, so if you’re not a huge fan of reading, you can instead listen to the content.

What Is Woodworking?

In case you’re not familiar with the term, it’s a skill using which you’ll make wooden products. If you got some skills, you could make money since the requirements for wooden goods are evergreen.

As a woodworker, you need to:

  • Have some real skills since there’s a lot of competition out there.
  • Have multiple woodworking tools in your arsenal.
  • Be willing to put in the work, and give it some time because no business can thrive overnight. You must put in consistent efforts and, most importantly, be patient.

It is woodworking that you’re considering; this YouTube video from a professional woodworker named Chad should be of help.

If you watch this video, you’ll know what it takes to run a successful woodworking business. It isn’t a turnkey plug-and-play solution as Wood Profits make it look.

As with any real business out there, you have to put in the work to get results. The program promises instant riches; that’s one huge red flag to consider.

Red Flags To Watch Out For

There are a lot of red flags to consider. Let’s take a look:

1. Use of Fake Testimonials

On the main website, you will find dozens of testimonials from supposedly happy customers.

Wood Profits Fake Testimonials

A ‘happy’ customer on the Wood Profits sales page

Upon some digging, it turned out to be a stock photo. Anyone can acquire a commercial usage license for a one-time fee, and use on all their web properties as if they owned it.

Wood Profits Fake Customer Sock Image

This guy turned out to be a stock photo. That’s clearly not a real customer, and this deceptive tactic of using fake testimonials to boost a product’s sales is one of the oldest tricks in the book.

2. Fake Founder (Probably)

As per the website, Wood Profits was launched in 2012 by a person named Jim Morgan.

Wood Profits Fake Founder

Morgan apparently doesn’t exist, and he’s just a stock photo. Even if he’s real, this image is not him.

The website also contains several images of Jim doing some work. However, it’s not hard to see they’re all different people, which are all stock photos!

There’s nothing wrong with hiding one’s own identity, but why use tons and tons of fake testimonials for a high-quality product? Why not let the eBook do the talking?

3. Not Recognized by BBB

The product is all about making ridiculous income claims, it makes it look like a cakewalk.

The reality is harsh, and you certainly won’t be raking in cash within a few weeks of starting your own business. The use of fake testimonials and fake owner images makes matters worse.

The business is not recognized by Better Business Bureau either and lacks accreditation.

Wood Profits Not Recognized By Bbb

The sales page makes a lot of claims, including that they have been featured on the likes of CNN, Entrepreneur Magazine, and USA Today. If that was the case, they would have had a rating on BBB.

Wood Profits Fake Claims

It’s all a lie, these platforms have never featured WoodProfits. All they ever did was talk about the general woodworking business opportunities and never mention this product. If the product was that popular, they would certainly have a lot of real customers and not ‘stock images.’

The Good

  • Inexpensive at $37 one-time, excluding the product upsells/upgrade offers
  • Content is available via both digital downloadable PDF and audiobook formats. If you fancy reading a book, you can read the PDF. If not, listen to the content on the go.
  • The information is decent, but you shouldn’t have high hopes for the platform. It’s basic and best, and if you’re a total beginner, it would surely be beneficial.
  • Wood Profits is sold on the ClickBank marketplace. As a result, it comes with a 60-day money-back guarantee, which is because of the platform. If you don’t like it, you can get a refund.

Final Words – Is Wood Profits a Scam?

No, Wood Profits cannot be considered a scam. Even though it uses very misleading tactics to get sales, there’s an actual downloadable product that you can get for a one-time payment of $37.

Thumbs Down Icon

It uses ridiculous income claims and makes things look too easy. The use of fake testimonials and fake images adds to the misery. However, apart from all this, you’re still getting a real product. If you’re interested, you can buy it with confidence thanks to its being hosted on ClickBank.

That being said, don’t expect to make tons of money with a woodworking business. It sure can work, but you will need to give it time to thrive. You also need to develop woodworkers skills, which will take time. If it’s a quick buck you’re interested in, you’ll be disappointed big time.

You’re better off acquiring a real skill that you’re interested in. Put in the work, and reap the rewards.
