Online Income is a website that claims you can make a full-time living with them without much effort. It even claims to be the #1 choice for an internet career.

The owner, Heather Smith, supposedly has found a money-making loophole via link posting.

Online Income Logo and Slogan

A lot of companies are supposedly paying people to do these jobs where they are supposed to post links on a wide range of platforms. The best part? There’s no specialized knowledge required.

In reality, such a concept doesn’t exist. Hate to say it, but It’s merely a ruse. The idea of posting links sounds super simple, and people fall for it. They make many claims; here are a few:

  • Anyone can do this
  • It takes no time
  • Huge earning potential

Such a dream job would be loved by everyone, only if it existed!

That’s one reason why scammers keep it running under different names simply because it has stood the test of time. All their so-called ‘money maker’ does is attract people who are gullible and cheat with them. Rinse and repeat.

The only person who makes any money out of these transactions is the person who runs the show. As a general rule of thumb, if you encounter something a bit too good to be true, it is.

Is It the #1 Choice for an Internet Career?

No, Online Income is not the #1 choice for an internet career. Let that sink in, it’s not even close.

It utilizes the link posting scam, which has been kept alive by scammers for more than a decade now. Here are many more reasons why you should stay away from it:

#1 There’s No Such Thing as Link Posting

Posting links won’t make you any money. That’s because such a job doesn’t even exist.

The only reason these ‘jobs’ are advertised by scammers is that they are deceptive. As a result, it’s too easy to fall for these. Even if these were real, no one would pay $20 per posted link.

Online Income Potential Income

Forget $6,000, you can’t even make $6 with these per month.

If a company or a person really wants to insert links, they can do it for free or hire someone to post hundreds of links for a one-time $5 payment. Why would anyone even shell out so much money for such an easy task?

However, if someone asks you to post hundreds or even thousands of links across multiple platforms, it may have something to do with affiliate marketing. With it, you have to use your affiliate link to get credit for sales.

For instance, if you send 10 people to your affiliate link and one of them makes a purchase, you get the sale credit and earn a commission.

Affiliate marketing is a legit business model, but things don’t work this way. You can’t just grab a link and spam everywhere. That’s not how you would run a legitimate business. Focus on solving people’s problems than randomly spamming with your referral link (and hoping for a sale).

#2 Same Thing but Under a Different Name

If you’ve been at it for a while, you must have noticed multiple websites with identical copy and design. That’s one way to operate a scam – just change the name/alias, and launch/relaunch it.

Here are a few examples in case you’re wondering:

  1. Home Job Placement
  2. Secure Job Position
  3. Search Agent Jobs

You will notice the first two sites are identical, except for their names. They use the same website copy, design, and everything else. The sobbing story of a struggling mother (2nd link) is just to gain empathy, which is later used to drag you onto the scam.

Many people can relate to this, and that’s why these con artists focus on creating a story that instantly resonates with everyone.

#3 Deceptive Promo Methods

These program owners use deceptive marketing strategies on purpose. The more they use, the better their product will convert (for obvious reasons). Here are a few:

  • Fake testimonials and news endorsements – you will notice most of these programs reuse the same images just to help them with the trust factor. The news channels hardly mention these programs, they simply talk about the bigger picture (home-based businesses).
  • Un(limited) spots – fake scarcity is one of the oldest tricks in the book. Visit a sales page, and it will make the product look exclusive using various strategies. It will either be a countdown timer (the product expires in 30 minutes), or only 3 spots left. None of that is true.
  • Fake images to boost visitors’ confidence – most of these scams rely on using fake images to gain users’ trust. These also use stock images that can be purchased for commercial use. If you’ve checked out our review of Secure Job Position, you get the drift.

Final Words – Is Online Income a Scam?

You bet!

It should instead be classified as the #1 scam online instead of the top choice for an internet marketing career. Funny, isn’t it?

Thumbs Down Icon

Federal Trade Commission, a scam-buster website, even took action against Home Job Placement, which is identical to this program. The site has cheated thousands of people and has put a huge dent in their wallets. This site uses similar text and images but operates under a different alias.

If you’re still considering signing up for Online Income, maybe check out a few more reviews. We don’t recommend it to our readers simply because it’s not a legitimate site.
